Alasdair has over 24 years’ experience as an employee benefits lawyer. He advises on all aspects of equity incentive arrangements for executives and employees, and on the taxation of employees generally.
Alasdair has extensive experience in establishing share plans for UK listed and private companies, including tax-advantaged and all-employee plans, and in dealing with share plans in the context of corporate transactions, including public listings. His expertise also includes structuring and implementing management equity incentive arrangements in the context of private equity and venture capital investments, and management buy-outs, and designing and implementing growth share and joint share ownership arrangements.
He also well versed in the international issues affecting equity-based remuneration arrangements and has very significant experience of working with non-UK headquartered clients. He also advises on the international taxation aspects of employee remuneration.
Alasdair has been recognised by independent legal directory, Chambers & Partners, in its review of the U.K.’s top employee share scheme practices. Alasdair is a regular speaker and published author on executive remuneration arrangements.
Alasdair joined Abbiss Cadres in February 2017 from the Incentives practice of international law firm Baker McKenzie.
