Tax payers who are required to file a 2008/09 UK personal income tax return and are planning to file a paper return have until midnight on Saturday 31 October 2009 to submit their return to HM Revenue & Customs.
Individuals planning to file online have until 31 January 2010 to file their return online. Any taxes due must be paid no later than 31 January 2010. The payment deadline applies to both online and paper filings. Tax payers who fail to submit their tax return on time may face late filing penalties.
