Brazilian Supreme Court Tightens Criteria for Free Legal Aid in Labor Disputes
Brazil’s Supreme Court has introduced objective income thresholds for free legal aid eligibility in labor disputes, ending the practice of self-declaration as sufficient grounds.
International employers now have stronger options when challenging employee legal aid requests and may see a broader reduction in speculative claims as a result.
