20 January 2012 |

International social security expert Jim Yuill and ex-Deloitte specialist Bina Gayadien join Abbiss Cadres International Assignments practice as Senior Consultants.

Jim Yuill is a recognised expert in UK and international security regulation and compliance.  Jim spent over 20 years at what is now the UK government Department for Work and Pensions in the NIC Policy Division where, as a senior official, he helped shape the United Kingdom’s National Insurance contribution system.  More recently, Jim spent 14 years as Director of Social Security Services at Ernst & Young assisting clients both in the UK and abroad on all aspects of social security.

Bina Gayadien has 15 plus years of experience of tax consulting and compliance in the UK and internationally, most recently as Senior Manager of Global Employer Services at Deloitte.

Bina has significant experience advising clients across many industries on complex tax, social security, compliance, and payroll issues.  She also has notable expertise in advising on cross-border planning, liaising as appropriate with clients’ internal HR, finance and payroll functions.

Jim and Bina will work with ex-BDO Expatriate Tax Director and existing Senior International Assignments Consultant, Andrea Plaw as well as our employment, immigration and compensation specialists.  Internationally our Correspondent Firms, chosen to mirror our multi-disciplinary approach to people focussed legal services, offer clients the international reach they seek.

Guy Abbiss commented:  “With experts of the calibre of Bina, Jim and Andrea on board, we are able to offer our clients a first class comprehensive international assignments service.   In a market dominated by the large accountancy practices we are already winning significant instructions from major corporate clients based upon the quality of our service alone.  We see the fact that our costs compare favourably as an added bonus for the client.”
