High profile, new, and independent, visual effects (“VFX”) specialists BlueBolt have retained Abbiss Cadres as advisers to the company.
BlueBolt was established last September and provides state-of-the-art 2D and CGI capabilities to the global film industry. BlueBolt is currently working on the John Landis-directed comedy Burke & Hare (Ealing Studios/Fragile Films). It has already completed VFX work on a number of feature films, including Sherlock Holmes (Warner Bros) and Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time (Jerry Bruckheimer Films/Walt Disney Pictures).
Its three founders have recently recruited industry guru David Jeffers as Chairman. Jeffers previously led the Moving Picture Company to be a world-leading provider of VFX and post-production services to both the feature motion picture and commercial advertising industries. He also managed its sale to Thomson/Technicolor in 2005 for $105million.
Lucy Ainsworth-Taylor, BlueBolt’s Chief Executive commented:
“We were looking for a law firm who knew what they were about and who had the expert skills and approach which would help us achieve our ambitions in a highly competitive commercial environment. Making sure our talented people are engaged is an absolute essential in achieving that. Abbiss Cadres deliver on our brief, and they speak to us in language we understand. We like that and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.”
Guy Abbiss added:
“We were introduced to Lucy and the rest of the ambitious and talented team at BlueBolt by its new Chairman, David Jeffers, who we know well from working with him on the successful sale of MPC in 2005. It’s a great brief drawing on our corporate, tax and employment expertise to help an exciting company to get its structure right for rapid growth from the off. We are looking forward to the future helping Lucy and the management team make the most of the very talented people on whom its future will depend.”
