Gemma is a highly regarded and experienced UK immigration lawyer who has a broad practice helping businesses and individuals achieve their UK immigration objectives.

After qualifying in 2010 Gemma worked with several renowned UK immigration teams, including SA Law LLP where she spearheaded their UK immigration practice.

Gemma joined Abbiss Cadres from Withers LLP and can lead on every aspect of a clients’ global mobility requirements as well servicing UK immigration needs. Gemma’s clients span a broad range of sectors including banking, financial services, law, advertising, media, and entertainment.

Gemma advises on all areas of areas of business immigration under the Points-Based System (PBS) with a particular specialism in sponsor licence applications, sponsor licence compliance (including post-licence compliance and UKVI audits) and visa applications for sponsored workers. Gemma also advises on family-based immigration categories such as Indefinite Leave to Remain, British Citizenship and European immigration into the UK.

Representative Experience includes:

– Advised and assisted corporate clients with applying for a sponsorship licence.

– Conducted internal client audits and provided strategic advice on all pre- and post-sponsorship licensing compliance issues.

– Advised on the transfer/hiring of employees under the PBS across a wide range of industry sectors.

– Advised on EEA migration to the UK and the impact of Brexit and provided training and one-to-one consultations to clients and assisted with associated applications under the EU Settlement scheme.

– Advised on and assisted with applications for indefinite leave to remain and to naturalise as British Citizens.

– Advised on and prepared applications for spouses of British Citizens.

Gemma has been referred to as a key UK immigration lawyer by the Legal 500 and has been recognised by “SwipNews” and “Tech Times Pro” as one of “The Best Immigration Lawyers” in the UK. She is an active member of the Economic Migration Subcommittee of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association and the Immigration Industry Association.
